Long fingernails and nail polish...

Yesterday we were on a tour at the hospital, which were very exciting - BUT, I could't avoid noticing one of the nurses fingernails, because they were long AND she had nail polish on. Home in DK it's not allowed having long fingernails and nail polish on. And that's because of the hygiene. We've been told that underneath long fingernails there can be a lot of bacteria and that's not hygienicly responsible when we are in contact with the paitience, plus some of the the nail polish can fall of while you are helping a patience to eat and that would not be nice!!!!
So now i'm wondering if there is a high infection risk at Pori hospital, now they (or some of them) are having long fingernails and nail polish on...!?

  1. It's same in Finland that you shoudn't have nail polish and long fingernails. I don't why she had nail polish. Hopefully you can get over this dramatical happening :D
